Heather Alexis Porter - Owner Operator
Heather Alexis
has been practicing in the Valley for over 14 years. Her treatments incorporate
traditional swedish massage, neuromuscular trigger point, myofascial release
and craniosacral work. Heather Alexis also combines sessions with acupuncture
and/or auricular acupuncture to maximize therapeutic results. The art of
Heather Alexis’ session is adding a little of this technique and a little of that
to create a therapeutic result.
Heather Alexis’ practice has benefited greatly from her studies
at Dalhousie University’s Continuing Technical Education
in the field of ergonomics which has lead to taking her practice to the workplace environments.
She has enjoyed finding solutions for companies in the Valley
as well as for companies in the Halifax area.
Heather Alexis also designs short workshops on aromatherapy, couple massage and
baby massage. These workshops are designed to be a hands-on experience so
one walks away with practical information and skills.

Jerusha Young
Jerusha
has created a calm healing enviroment her practice combines the benefits
of therapeutic massage and osteopathy. Jerusha is currently a second year
student at the Canadian College of Osteopathy. Osteopathy is based on the
premise that disease is the result of the relationship between anatomical
structure and physiological function. Structure and function are considered
interdependent and a normally functioning musculoskeletal system plays and
important role in wellness. Jerusha also offers Reiki treatments

Tammy Peckford
Tammy
has been with Valley Massage Therapy Clinic for over 9 years. In Tammy's
capable hands a client will certainly leave feeling relaxed and rejuvenated.
Tammy has created some truly benefical therapeutic add-ons to her treatments.
One can experience the wonderful benefits of therapeutic massage but also
have the options of adding reflexology, wax parrafin treatments or hot stones
to their massage creating a totally relaxed experience.
Tammy has also trained in prenatal massage. As most moms-to-be know many
pregnant women feel discomfort and added stress on their bodies at various
points in their pregnancies. More and more women are discovering and benefiting
from the art of prenatal massage.
Along with her practice Tammy displays her artwork at the office.

Adrienne Alexander
A profound passion fuels Adrienne’s respect and belief in Massage Therapy. It stems from a sincere desire and deep-rooted need to help others handle the many stresses of everyday life.
Treating everyone as the individual they are, and recognizing that effective treatment often demands a variety of methods. Adrienne incorporates Swedish massage, craniosacral, myofascial release, active release and trigger point work where appropriate, based on the client’s desire for optimum outcome and the overall health on the individual.
Possessing a steadfast commitment to healthy living, and interest in lifelong learning, the body, the individual and the world have become magnified and layered more then ever imagined. It is Adrienne’s personal mandate to empower clients, through education, to adopt and promote a proactive approach towards healing and development, while exploring the interconnected nature of physical emotional and spiritual issues related to the human body.
